The Parade Route

Parade Route 2017 | March 17th | Start Time: 11:30am

Parade Route: The 2017 parade will start at 11.30am on Lower Dominick Street (Monroes Pub) and proceed along Dominick Street over O'Briens Bridge, up Shop Street and past the viewing stand in Eyre Sq. The parade will finish at Galway County Council Buildings.

Road Closures and Parking:

On the day of the parade there will be a series of rolling road closures in operation so patrons are advised to arrive at the parade route in plenty of time. Please note that while the bulk of the parade passes through pedestrianised zones there will be strictly no parking along the parade route.

As St. Patrick's Day is a bank holiday, much of the street parking in the city is free. We recommend parking in the Dyke Road, Cathedral or Mill Street car parks. Free street parking near the parade route includes: Henry Street, Presentation Road, Forster Street, Merchant's Road, Bohermore, Woodquay. Click here for more information.

There will be a disabled access reviewing stand located in Eyre Square. There is no need to book but patrons are advised to arrive in advance of the parade start time to ensure a place.
