Watch out for theatrical treats in this year’s Galway City St.Patricks Day Parade.


An Pobal Amharclann Gaillimh, The theatre community of Galway, will be strongly represented in the Galway City Parade this year. Ireland’s official Irish language theatre “An Taibhearc will be taking part in the parade supporting local Foroige club Castlegar Menlo depicting a giant version  of their iconic symbol. The St.Patricks Day Parade workshop space in Eyre Square Shopping Centre is already a hive of activity this week with various groups bringing their respective creative visions to life. The Galway Theatre Festival will be joining the festivities this year, publicising the festival’s new dates in early May. Local up and coming costume designer Sinead Rowe will be displaying unique artistic pieces. Watch out for our eccentric Unesco City of Film crews as they crisscross through the parade with live updates,absurd observations and theatrical antics galore. With the closing date for applications now over its time to start creating and making for our exciting St.Patricks Day Parade showcase at the Galway Eyre Square Shopping Centre Space.
